Every month the Silicon Valley Tweetup meets to have fun and raise funds for a good cause, and on Wednesday, August 18 from 6-9 at Kaama Lounge in San Jose (http://www.kaamalounge.com/). they have chosen to support Help a Lost Child! A $10 donation is requested at the door and they are raffling off prizes as well.

Our friends at Rentalic, (winner of the Paypal Developer Challenge in March) has generously offered to donate a portion of their proceeds to Rimaan’s fund!

How it works:
For every new user, item rented or request of an item on the Rentalic web site Rentalic will donate to Rimaan’s fund.

1) New user registration: 5 cents
2) Listing an item to be rented out: 25 cents
3) Renting an item from someone and completing the transaction successfully: $1.00
4) Requesting an item you need on the site using “Request Item” feature: 15 cents
5) Inviting a friend to join Rentalic through Rentalic site: 10 cents when the invitee accept the invitation and create Rentalic account

Interview with Rimaan’s mother who is fighting to raise money for a hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) chamber for her son who suffers from Pervasive Developmental Disorder which is a autism spectrum disorder.

Something that would help Rimaan get healthier much faster is a Hyperbaric chamber, also known as an oxygen chamber or HBOT that will deliver 100% pure oxygen to Rimaan’s body and brain, this will help heal his body.

Rimaan is a little boy who has been through an incredible amount in his short 3 years of life. Through it all he is an inspiration to his family, friends, doctors and nurses–pretty much anybody who meets him. After all the torments of hospitalization, testing and treatments, he will still smile and we do everything we can to make his every moment worthwhile. He is a trooper, he is our hero.

This little boy’s parents give every spare moment of their time to seeing that he gets the best possible care. Channeling all their available emotional and financial resources to positive energies to get Rimaan the treatment and therapies he needs.
